I have been a quilter for over 15 years now, inspired by my late Grandma Emma who spent many hours quilting and Tatting. My first ever quilt I made in honour of her and cut out each 2 ½ inch square of fabric with scissors, stitched each piece together by hand with needle and thread, then hand quilted it...I was 23. Tatting, the ancient art of Victorian lace making, she taught me at the age of 12. And although quilting has somewhat taken over my life, I still enjoy the art of Tatting now and again.
I'm looking for ideas to turn these 28 fat 1/4's into a quilt for my niece. I thought I'd send out the call to my new blogger friends and see what pattern ideas come back...I'm thinking maybe a turning 20?? HELP!

Such pretty colors for a girl. I think either one of those ideas would be great.
What about a good old fashioned Trip Around the World showcasing such lovely new fabrics.
