I have been a quilter for over 15 years now, inspired by my late Grandma Emma who spent many hours quilting and Tatting. My first ever quilt I made in honour of her and cut out each 2 ½ inch square of fabric with scissors, stitched each piece together by hand with needle and thread, then hand quilted it...I was 23. Tatting, the ancient art of Victorian lace making, she taught me at the age of 12. And although quilting has somewhat taken over my life, I still enjoy the art of Tatting now and again.
Take a look at the Mexican Stars wall hanging that I made yesterday at the Guild Workshop with instructor Shirley Kelly. It still needs to be quilted but I couldn't wait to post it!

Wow! Really pretty. I am so sorry to have not followed your blog, but for some reason, I added it to my favorites and it disappeared! It is back up and running now. Sorry it has been so long. Thank you for visiting my blog!
