The bargello quilt below that I quilted for a customer, won the Peoples Choice Ribbon at our local quilt show this past weekend. As it should, it's beautiful! It must have taken her forever to piece that quilt, and she even chose all the fabrics herself! CONGRATS! You deserve it!

- I have been a quilter for over 15 years now, inspired by my late Grandma Emma who spent many hours quilting and Tatting. My first ever quilt I made in honour of her and cut out each 2 ½ inch square of fabric with scissors, stitched each piece together by hand with needle and thread, then hand quilted it...I was 23. Tatting, the ancient art of Victorian lace making, she taught me at the age of 12. And although quilting has somewhat taken over my life, I still enjoy the art of Tatting now and again.
