I have been a quilter for over 15 years now, inspired by my late Grandma Emma who spent many hours quilting and Tatting. My first ever quilt I made in honour of her and cut out each 2 ½ inch square of fabric with scissors, stitched each piece together by hand with needle and thread, then hand quilted it...I was 23. Tatting, the ancient art of Victorian lace making, she taught me at the age of 12. And although quilting has somewhat taken over my life, I still enjoy the art of Tatting now and again.
A beautiful snowfall. Hi and welcome to our blog ring. I live in SC and see cotton growing along the roadsides, but once my mother-in-law was visiting (she is from West Virginia) and we had to pull over and pick her a stalk also.
